The Skilled Worker Program aids employers in locating recent international graduates and foreign workers whose skills are in demand in Nova Scotia. Only positions that an employer could not fill with permanent residents or Canadian citizens are eligible for hiring foreign workers.

First, submit an application to the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP).  We will send you a Certificate of Nomination via email if you are selected for this programme. At the same time, we’ll deliver evidence of nomination to Citizenship, Immigration, and Refugees Canada (IRCC).

Costs: There is no application fee for the program but you can only pay some fees when translating files.

Eligibility Criteria

  3. You must be between the ages of 21 and 55.
  4. He holds a high school diploma.
  5. Proof of language ability equal to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 5 if you are in a NOC TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupation. If your first language is English or French, that’s proof enough.
  6. Demonstrate sufficient financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia.
